Exciting news about the Talbot London Ambulance!
Operating throughout the Blitz and now owned by the NHS which has a collection of historic ambulances, the 1935 Talbot Ambulance has featured in a number of films and TV programmes. Because its gearbox was broken, it has not been mobile and it has been used as a purely static vehicle in recent years. The TOC is leading a crowd-funding appeal to get this into a state so that it can be driven on film and TV sets once repairs to the gearbox, petrol tank and other essential parts are carried out. It’s not a full restoration, but limited to off-road, on-set use. The crowd-funding is up and running until 5th August and it will be great to see the Talbot mobile once again!
