Lavinias Reclaim Life Road Trip

100-year-old Talbot car to tour England for charity

Lavinia, a Talbot 14/45, will set out on her 3,500-mile journey around UK on 11 April after the Talbot Owners’ Club Founders’ annual celebratory lunch at the former Talbot car factory in West London. It’s now Ladbroke Hall, home to top Italian restaurant Pollini, art and design from Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Friday Jazz, talks, and more.

The journey is multi-purpose: celebrating Talbots and the centenary of the 14/45 model, raising funds and awareness of mental health charity Reclaim Life and meeting up with interested communities to tell the Reclaim Life story and inspire them to start their own community self-help groups.

Talbot cars were built at the factory prior to WW2 and this model was launched 100 years ago. This particular car belonging to Club Member, Harry Sear, is a fine example and Harry and co-driver, Paul Harold, are confident that Lavinia is up to the task.

Reclaim Life is a South Bedfordshire voluntary organisation that has developed a unique model of therapeutic life coaching. So far, the charity has helped over 2,000 people suffering emotional crisis, but they want to help more.

On their road trip Harry and Paul hope to not only raise much needed funds for Reclaim Life, but also to tell the Reclaim Life story to inspire others to be trained as coaches and bring Reclaim Life to their local communities.

The three-week journey will follow the coast clockwise meeting up with fellow Talbot owners along the way. They will post on social media each day and details of Lavinia’s epic journey and how to donate can be found at www.reclaimliferoadtrip.org.uk or use the QR code below.
