Saturday 6th April was Foppe d'Hane's classic car show held in the field at the White Lion in Ufford. This year saw a cold day but six Talbots braved the chill - three 105s of Tom and Carole Whatton, David Sharp and Bob Collins whose car he had rescued from eleven years in a field many years ago and built it up himself - very impressive! Sally and David Morris were there in their 14/45, Gwendoline. Sally was going to drive to North London afterwards where she would be working for the week with Gwendoline taking up parking duties in the street outside her abode! Is this the most used Talbot in the club?! There was another 14/45, a tourer and also Richard Bonson's very smart 75 saloon.
A cold but enjoyable day, helped by the excellent Adnams ale available at the bar.
On her way home after the event, Sally Morris popped into London and visited the Barlby Road works. As Sally says, “Probably the first time Gwendoline has been there in 87 years!”
