TOC Visit to the London Ambulance Service Historic Collection - postponed until later this year 28th Mar 2024

NOW POSTPONED UNTIL LATER IN THE YEAR - NEW DATES TO FOLLOW LATER THIS YEAR

Rarely open to the public, Members are invited to visit the London Ambulance Historic Collection at its base in Sevenoaks, Kent. This unique collection of historic vehicles, equipment and items, has been preserved over the years from one of the world’s oldest and largest ambulance services. The collection includes 30 ambulances, ranging from an 1880 handcart to a 2012 BMW response car, as well as medical equipment, uniforms, photographs, documents, books, badges, medals and other ambulance service related items.

Of particular interest to TOC Members is the only known surviving 1935 ‘95’ Talbot Ambulance, ‘one owner’ from new! Highly original with all its internal fittings as used throughout the London blitz.

The TOC is privileged to be invited and there is much to see. Please note, this is not a museum. Space is limited, with access to some items restricted. Volunteers from the Collection will be present to answer questions and assist.

Full details are available to Members in the Club Magazine.
