Members of the TOC are invited to visit the Veteran Car Club (VCC) HQ at Ashwell, Hertfordshire on Wednesday 13th February 2019. Meet from 11.15 am for informal coffee and biscuits.
The VCC HQ is located in a former tithe barn in the centre of Ashwell village. The barn was converted in the early 1990’s to accommodate the Club’s extensive library and archives together with administration offices and meeting rooms.
TOC members will have the opportunity to visit the library, normally only open to VCC members. Although small, the library contains one of the world’s largest collections of magazines, journals and archive material from the dawn of motoring in the 1890’s. TOC members will also be able to tour the meeting rooms to see the trophies and other exhibits on display.
The visit will conclude with Adrian Goding, Chairman of the VCC giving a brief overview of the Veteran Car Club, present and future.
For those wishing to stay, pub lunch at the Three Tuns, opposite the Veteran Car Club in Ashwell.
Please contact Howard Day by Monday 4th February to confirm that you are coming and for further information. email@example.com or tel 07816547850.
