Participants will make their own way via Dublin or Fishguard to rendezvous at The Talbot Hotel on the Wexford waterfront, yes there is a Talbot Hotel in Wexford. Better still, Wexford is the home of Ann & Andrew Boland who are joining us on the tour. The first night will be Sunday 2nd June.
On Monday 3rd June we motor to Kinsale on the South West coast, the longest driving day at 130 miles. The exact routes will be worked to out to maximise the coastal scenery and landmarks. Kinsale is the gourmet capital of the south coast and we will be staying in the Trident Hotel for two nights, dining in on our first night and a special night out on the second evening.
On Tuesday the 4th of June we will probably motor out towards Skibbereen on a circular tour, returning to a bit of Irish craic that evening.
Next day, Wednesday the 5th we motor eastwards to Waterford via two car ferries to the island where we shall stay at the Waterford Castle Hotel Lodges. Here club members will enjoy the very modern lodges in the grounds with two cars per lodge sharing all en-suite accommodation but taking breakfast and dinner in the Castle.
We then leave the castle and head further east to Wexford for our last night back in the Talbot Hotel on Thursday the 6th June, and the following morning an early start for the ferries home or onward enjoyment of Ireland for those who choose to extend the vacation.
