Talbot Owners' Club

The Home of Pre-War London Talbots

Dorset Dawdle 31st May 2020

This will be a three-day tour, based in the lovely town of Sherborne, from Sunday 31 May to Wednesday 3 June.

Three nights at The Eastbury Hotel in the centre of Sherborne.

Time to see the ancient town; 11th C Abbey; the ruined Castle destroyed by Parliamentarians, once home to Sir Walter Raleigh; the New Castle built 16th C, now home to the Wingfield Digby family; etc.

See Dorset’s most lovely countryside following ancient routes through lanes and byways.

Take in visits to the gardens of Minterne, another Digby stronghold; Kingston Lacy House, once home of the Banks family; The National Tank Museum, Mapperton House and many old and charming towns and villages.

All meals on the hoof or back in Sherborne, tea one day at Church Farm.

This tour immediately precedes the Rallye de Fougères where Talbot will be the featured marque—see next article—and is ideally timed so that participants can take part in the Dorset Dawdle, then cross the Channel from Poole or Portsmouth, in time to take part in the Rallye de Fougères .

There is a choice of three hotels as follows:
